named Michael Alpert as the new leader of its global performance chemicals division.
Alpert previously served as Buckman’s VP of Performance Chemicals and the division manager for North America Performance Chemicals.
“In the more than 30 years that Michael has been with Buckman, he has shown time after time that he possesses the right leadership capabilities to expand the value we provide our customers in the performance chemicals market,” said Junai Maharaj, Buckman’s CEO and president. “He brings a focus, passion and energy that is admired across the company.”
Buckman’s performance chemicals division provides a wide variety of specialty chemicals that preserve, protect, clean, stabilize and optimize the effectiveness of products for industries such as paints and coatings, agriculture, plastics, textiles, wood treatment, metalworking and swimming pools.
Alpert began his career at Buckman in 1985 in paper technologies. His tenure includes roles in marketing, administration, sales and operations. He's also held senior positions in leather, paper and process chemicals.
