TheIJC is returning to the U.S. May 22-23, 2019.
More than 250 technology innovators, OEMs, engineers, chemists, and researchers are expected to learn and network about the latest advances in digital printing for industrial applications at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare (Chicago, IL).
“Delivering industrial inkjet to a manufacturing scale is difficult. TheIJC is a unique forum that brings together every element needed to drive success, from the inks and technologies to the integration and end users. This communication is key in a booming industry undergoing rapid innovation and TheIJC is now firmly established as the home of such cross-industry engagement,” said Dr. Ronan Daly from the University of Cambridge and TheIJC Scientific Board.
The conference program includes 40 technical presentations on two consecutive tracks which cover ink chemistry, performance, curing and analysis, as well as printheads, software, jetting, vision inspection and substrate characteristics. The accompanying tabletop exhibition features 50 stands from all major industry players and academic institutes.
Last year’s edition was supported by Fujifilm Inkjet Technology, Industrial Inkjet, Kodak, Markem-Imaje, Memjet, Ricoh, Seiko Instruments, Xaar, and many others.
TheIJC was inaugurated in Europe in 2014. There were 550 participants during the 2018 event in Düsseldorf, Germany.
“Inkjet is fundamentally changing the way we manufacture products, it is changing the industry as a whole, it is moving us towards industry 4.0. One of the world’s biggest manufacturing countries, the U.S. is home to companies such as Dover Corporation, EFI, Fujifilm Dimatix, HP or Kodak,” said Steve Knight, co-founder of TheIJC. “With technology providers and brand owners increasingly visiting our European editions, there was a high demand that we brought the conference across the Atlantic.”
