As part of its move to a new facility in Vác, Hungary, Euro-Druckservice GmbH (EDS) added a 72-page C818 commercial web press, according to Koenig & Bauer.
The company plans to add two more C818 web presses with a capacity of 72 DIN A4 pages each.

The project is being completed by OD Systeme Handels- und Vertriebs GmbH from Vienna, with KBA-Digital & Web Solutions as press supplier.
The two new presses are scheduled to "come on stream" at the group's facilities in Vác and Poznan, Poland before the end of the year, per Koenig & Bauer.
The EDS Group was founded in 1992 and comprises seven companies in five countries with 1,200 employees.
The C818 presses for EDS are being supplied with cylinder circumferences of 1,240 mm and 1,197 mm, a maximum web width of 1,980 mm and maximum outputs of up to 45,000 or 43,500 72-page copies per hour. They feature automatic reel logistics, Pastomat RC reelstands, four printing units with automated plate changers, high-performance dryers with integrated after-burner, highly flexible folder superstructures with open turner bar decks, and a V5 pin folder for the processing of both long-grain and short-grain products.
