Avery Dennison RBIS announced its partnership with award-winning fashion designer Christopher Ræburn for his Spring/Summer 15 womenswear collection, which incorporates sustainable solutions and was showcased at London Fashion Week.
Continuing its support of Raeburn after a successful collaboration on the menswear SS15 collection that he showcased in June at London Collections: Men, Avery Dennison RBIS provided Raeburn with creative external embellishments that elevate the brand image by incorporating sustainable materials and unique finishes into their overall design.
“We’re excited to partner again with Christopher Raeburn,” said Tim Voegele-Downing, global creative director for Avery Dennison RBIS. “Christopher recognizes how important external embellishments can be in elevating design, from conception to runway. And his use of sustainable materials well-aligns with our vision to bring intelligent, creative and sustainable solutions that elevate brands and accelerate performance.”
RBIS’ heat transfers afford designers greater freedom to create more powerful and intricate designs that increase consumer appeal. The combination of digital print technology with high-performance adhesives create quality embellishments that provide stretch, recovery and flexibility without compromising garment function. Additionally, the use of high-definition and reflective heat transfer technology enable the pieces in collections such as Raeburn’s to retain its original property despite multiple washes.
“Working with RBIS has allowed us to integrate a range of new techniques, textures and graphics into our garments and accessories and it’s been great to re-think and re-interpret these techniques for womenswear, having had such success with them in menswear,” said Raeburn.
