Zebra Technologies is showcasing new products designed to help healthcare professionals improve the patient experience at the HIMSS25 Global Health Conference & Exhibition, March 3-6, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV.

“Asset tracking and inventory management are pervasive challenges throughout the healthcare industry as many clinicians continue to rely on manual, paper-based administrative processes,” said Kassaundra McKnight-Young, healthcare CNIO industry principal, Zebra Technologies. “Visitors to our booth will experience solutions that empower clinicians to work with technology in new ways to enhance patient care, improve asset visibility and strengthen operational efficiency.”

According to Zebra’s latest hospital vision study, 77% of healthcare decision-makers agree clinical staff at their organizations spend too much time locating medical equipment, supplies and materials when needed.

In addition, 80% believe artificial intelligence (AI) would enhance inventory accuracy and visibility while 84% say automating and digitizing tracking systems at the point of care is a priority for their organizations.

At HIMSS, Zebra is showcasing digital and mobile computing solutions that help ensure the real-time availability of medical assets, and the integrity of surgical equipment.

The company’s AI-powered deep learning-based OCR and barcode technologies automate the scanning and processing of data linked to unique QR codes and serial numbers on surgical tools, improving the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management.

Additionally, with Zebra’s high-resolution CV60 Machine Vision cameras, providers can automate surface inspection and anomaly detection, allowing teams to more accurately assess and classify potentially harmful corrosion levels on surgical instruments.

Visitors to the Zebra booth at HIMSS will also meet Moxi the robot, a humanoid robot which is built on Zebra’s autonomous mobile robot (AMR) base in collaboration with Diligent Robotics. Whether it’s non-tube medications, just-in-time infusions, lab/pathology specimens or various supply items, Moxi’s primary goal is to assist with the delivery of these items to the care teams, effectively allowing them to stay in their units and spend more time with their patients.

Other solutions that will be demonstrated by Zebra at HIMSS include:
• HC25 and HC55 Healthcare Mobile Computers: the latest generation of Zebra’s healthcare-grade mobile computers now feature 5G connectivity, a critical addition for enhancing communication and data management in healthcare environments and in the field.
• WS101-H Bluetooth Communication Badge: this new wearable provides easy, hands-free communication, seamless push-to-talk (PTT) capabilities, voice-activated app execution, and a dedicated duress button for safety. The WS101-H easily pairs with Zebra, Android, or iOS devices without the need for any backend infrastructure.
• The Zebra Kiosk System: this comprehensive, modular solution, which includes the KC50 kiosk computer and TD50 touch display, helps improve the patient experience by streamlining the admissions process and other self-service needs in healthcare.
• RFID XR Wristband: this passive RFID direct thermal patient wristband features an extended read range and is designed to enable reliable monitoring and tracking of patient location within key hospital workflows.
• Environmentally Friendly Wristband Cartridge: designed to enhance patient safety, this cartridge is made from PET 1 material for use with Z-Band Direct and UltraSoft wristbands. PET 1 can be recycled in standard curbside collections, promoting circular economy practices and underscoring Zebra’s commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
