Zebra Technologies Corporation announced that Ashley Ford has been appointed vice president for sales in North America for the Specialty Printing Group (SPG).

“Ashley’s extensive knowledge of Zebra’s business and proven track record strengthening our EMEA business make him a natural fit to our North American management team,” said Mike Terzich, senior vice president, global sales and marketing, SPG. “We are thrilled to have his expanding input as we look to grow our business and broaden our channel network.”

Since joining Zebra in 2005, Ford has successfully led the company’s overall sales and go-to-market and business development strategy for EMEA. He has also implemented and managed the geographic expansion of Zebra’s business in the EMEA region by developing core territories and penetrating new geographies and channels.

In his new role, Ford will be responsible for building upon Zebra’s successful and industry-leading multi-channel sales model, as well as further extending Zebra into new growth vertical markets and applications.

“Our growth potential and exceptional reputation in North America create exciting prospects for Zebra,” said Ford. “I’m looking forward to engaging with our entire community of channel partners, ISVs and strategic business partners to identify the most compelling market opportunities for Zebra’s products and solutions.”

Prior to joining Zebra, Ford held senior sales and channel management positions within the IT, printing and communications industries with major organizations such as Samsung Electronics, Xerox Europe and AST Computer Europe. He brings more than 15 years of experience to his new role with background in managing channel sales teams and developing sales channels and strategies across a wide swath of markets and industries.
Ford has an educational background in mechanical engineering, specifically in the field of thermodynamics and metallurgy.
