Wikoff Color announced the appointment of Sachin Nayar as VP of research & development, effective Dec. 2, 2024. Sachin will be based at the company’s corporate office, overseeing all aspects of R&D.

With more than 15 years of experience in the coatings, inkjet, and specialty chemicals industries, Nayar brings an extensive background in driving innovation and advancing product development. He began his career as an inkjet ink formulator with the Eastman Kodak Company, before progressing to global leadership roles at AkzoNobel and PPG Industries.

Most recently, he served as ink innovation director at BIC Corporation in France, where he led teams in the development of bio-sourced stationery inks. Throughout his career, Nayar has demonstrated a keen ability to align innovative formulation development with regulatory compliance, sustainability, and commercialization viability.

“Sachin’s wealth of experience and strategic approach to R&D will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to develop market-driven products that anticipate and exceed customer needs,” said Mark Lewis, president and CEO of Wikoff Color. “We are confident that his leadership will drive innovation and foster collaboration within our R&D teams, ensuring long-term growth and operational success.”

As part of Wikoff Color’s ongoing commitment to innovation, Nayar will be responsible for leading the company’s R&D teams at both the Milwaukee and Alpharetta plants, in addition to the Fort Mill team. This change is part of the company’s broader initiative to enhance teamwork across R&D functions and further align efforts to meet evolving customer demands.

“Sachin thrives in environments that encourage collaboration and creativity,” Lewis continued. “His expertise will help us push the boundaries of what’s possible in the R&D space while maintaining a strong focus on both technical excellence and strategic growth.”
