UPM Raflatac and Hansaprint announced major improvements on their portal service TagAge, which allows customers to create and buy premium quality NFC-integrated print products online. With enhanced usability features, the TagAge portal is an excellent, easy to use tool for designing and purchasing highly tailored NFC products.

Furthermore, the TagAge portal now offers several new product types, among them “Label-on-metal,’ an NFC-enabled label for metal surfaces only slightly thicker than a normal label.

“Improvements to our web service and product offering are the logical evolution of ongoing market altering work. We believe we now have the structure and a fantastic start to harness the imagination of users within the NFC market. TagAge’s focus on small and medium volume customization will help create new application opportunities and markets,” says Jukka Saariluoma, development director, Hansaprint.

“We continue to serve the blooming NFC market. Many companies are developing new applications with NFC, both in business-to-business and business-to-consumer. This is enabled by the TagAge offering of customized NFC tags, with variable layout, encoding and materials possibilities, also available in low volumes. Utilizing TagAge in development and production processes can save a lot of time and money,” says Samuli Strömberg, vice president, marketing, UPM Rafatac, RFID.
