United Solar, the global manufacturer of UNI-SOLAR lightweight, flexible solar products, announced it will be exhibiting at the Solarexpo 2012 in Verona, Italy from May 9-11, 2012.

Solarexpo 2012 is being held at the Verona Exhibition Centre, hosting 1,000 exhibitors and an estimated 80,000 attendees. UNI-SOLAR’s booth is located in the esteemed SOLARCH pavilion, Hall 1, which is dedicated to the most innovative architectural solutions for building integrated PV (BIPV). UNI-SOLAR will be exhibiting its new, higher output PowerBond ePVL and PowerBond Dual ePVL products in the SOLARCH. Also on display will be several Open Solar products including two unique portable solar power devices.

UNI-SOLAR’s PowerBond Dual ePVL product represents a strong collaboration with partners, customers and suppliers. With a power rating of 320 Wp, the new PowerBond Dual ePVL product consists of 44 UNI-SOLAR cells (44L) featuring the new reflective back layer, as compared to the traditional PowerBond ePVL model with 22 cells (22L). The product will be available in January 2013.

“SOLARCH is the ideal setting for the launch of the new additions to the UNI-SOLAR product line, PowerBond ePVL and PowerBond Dual ePVL,” said Frank Homann, senior vice president of product development.

“The PowerBond product line guarantees higher power production and earns the highest incentive for ‘Integrated Photovoltaic Systems with Innovative Features’ under Title III of Italian Energy Bill IV,” said Maarten Van Cleef, vice president of sales – Europe. “Our booth will feature our latest products as well as several Open Solar products demonstrating our long-standing commitment to innovative commercial and consumer products.”
