At this year’s CeBIT, Bundesdruckerei and its cooperation partner AGETO are demonstrating just how quickly and easily private companies and public authorities can benefit from the new German ID card.
Up to now, integrating the online ID function of the new German ID card into online shops and other portals was demanding in both technical and organizational terms. Moreover, it also involved purchasing additional services and thus proved to be a complex and rather expensive matter.
Bundesdruckerei will develop new services with AGETO that begin with consultancy and applying for authorisation and end with technical integration.
“We want to make things as simple as possible for our customers, just like a good old handshake that was used to seal a deal in the past. Our ‘digital handshake’ solution is designed for all Internet portals and shops that have a secured user area. The solution allows users to log-in with their new German ID card and rates start at EUR 9.90 per month,” explains Ulrich Hamann, CEO of Bundesdruckerei GmbH.
Bundesdruckerei’s partner here, AGETO, has already many years of experience in Internet business. AGETO is one of the pioneers of eCommerce and has advised and implemented a vast number of online shops.
“Many suppliers today already need to check ID, for instance, in order to verify someone’s age. Together with Bundesdruckerei, we are for the first time able to offer all the services needed to integrate the online functions from a single source,” Sascha Sauer, member of the board of AGETO Holding AG, explaining the advantages of cooperation with Bundesdruckerei.
