Synaptics Natural ID Fingerprint Sensors Selected for Two New Sharp Smartphones

Ultra-slim, one-touch authentication mounted on side-edge of phones.

Synaptics announced Sharp is featuring Synaptics Natural ID ultra-slim area-touch fingerprint sensors for secure biometric user authentication on their new AQUOS smartphones. Selected as part of NTT DoCoMo Inc’s new lineup for the Japanese market, the Sharp AQUOS Ever SH-02J and AQUOS Disney Mobile DM-01J smartphones feature Synaptics’ slim fingerprint sensor on the side-edge of the devices, convenient to the fingers natural resting place.
 
Synaptics’ high-performance Natural ID fingerprint sensors are available with SentryPoint technology, offering OEMs a wide-range of unique and highly secure authentication features including match-in-sensor technology, Quantum Matcher with PurePrint anti-spoof technology, and SecureLink™ 256-bit AES with TLS 1.2 encryption.
