SML Group announced that it has received the 2023 Auburn Radio Compliance (ARC) Quality Certification, allowing SML to continue upholding the highest quality assurance for its customers and accelerate item-level RFID adoption across industry segments. The certification has been awarded by the RFID Lab at Auburn University, which is widely recognized as a credible independent organization for benchmarking and certification of RFID inlays and tags. For more than a decade, more than 40 of SML’s inlay models have been approved by Auburn’s RFID Lab, making SML one of the top industry leaders in designing and manufacturing high-quality and high-performing RFID inlays. Having also been a board member on the advisory board of the RFID Lab since 2016, SML has actively engaged in the organization’s initiatives that set out to elevate the RFID industry around performance, quality, and business value creation. Retailers and industries venturing into RFID can rely on SML, a trusted provider of exceptional RFID inlays and solutions that enhance operational efficiency and boost performance. As the adoption of RFID technology continues to surge across various sectors, achieving the 2023 ARC Quality certification allows SML to consistently instill the utmost confidence in its customers regarding the dependability of its RFID inlays and tags. This recognition further strengthens SML’s capacity to deliver premium solutions through its global network of more than 20 service bureaus, streamlining logistics, reducing lead times, and promoting its sustainability initiative. “We are honored to have received the certification which serves as a testament to our steadfast commitment to driving innovation and quality assurance for our customers,” said Ignatius K.C. Lau, CEO of SML Group. “From high-quality in-house inlays and tags to cutting-edge software, SML covers the entire RFID ecosystem that is targeted on delivering dependable encoded RFID tags that support customers’ use cases, a critical basis for any RFID business case,” Lau added. “We will continually strive to serve customers more effectively through the next phase of item-level RFID growth,” Lau adds. The company reports that it is the second-highest provider of encoded RFID tags by volume, SML has to date produced over 12 billion tags, and its Clarity platform has successfully managed more than 475 million RFID reads in a single week.
