Siegwerk announced the successful completion of its acquisition of Hi-Tech Inks, one of India’s leading manufacturers of flexographic and gravure printing inks.

The combined business will focus on delivering future-ready, sustainable, and high-performance solutions to support the evolving needs of the packaging industry.

With the transaction now complete, the combined business becomes the largest player in India’s flexible packaging inks market, commanding over 20% market share.

Together, Siegwerk and Hi-Tech Inks are positioned to shape the next phase of growth in India’s printing inks and coatings market. Siegwerk will now begin integrating operations, manufacturing capabilities, and product portfolios across its expanded India network.

Speaking on the completion, Mr. Ashish Pradhan, President – Asia, Siegwerk said, “This is an important milestone for Siegwerk in India and Asia. By bringing together the strengths of both organizations, we are creating a stronger platform to serve our customers, accelerate innovation, and support the continued growth of India’s dynamic packaging industry. We are delighted to officially welcome the Hi-Tech Inks team to the Siegwerk family.”

The integration of Hi-Tech Inks strengthens Siegwerk’s manufacturing footprint across India, adding production facilities in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, and Vapi, Gujarat. The acquisition also expands its portfolio with solvent- and water-based inks, metallic and special-effect inks, varnishes, and overprint varnishes.

Karan Mahajan, Managing Director, Hi-Tech Inks, added, “The completion of this transaction marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. Together with Siegwerk, we are uniquely positioned to deliver enhanced value, broader capabilities, and greater innovation to customers across India’s packaging ecosystem.”

The acquisition marks a significant milestone in Siegwerk’s growth strategy and reinforces its long-term commitment to India.

The combined organization will employ approximately 1,700 people across the country, enhancing its ability to deliver innovation, scale, and supply reliability to customers.

The acquisition is Siegwerk’s largest transaction since the acquisition of SICPA’s packaging inks business in 2005 and further strengthens the company’s position as a leading partner for packaging converters and brand owners.
