Azuri participated for the second consecutive year in the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi, which was held Jan. 14-17, 2013. WFES is the world’s foremost annual event, dedicated to advancing future energy, energy efficiency and clean technologies.

WFES 2013 brought together global leaders in policy, technology and business to discuss the state-of-the-art, develop new ways of thinking and shape the future of renewable energy. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, WFES includes a world class summit, an international exhibition, the Project & Finance Village, the Young Future Energy Leaders program, corporate meetings and social events.

Azuri occupied a place in the innovative Project and Finance Village, featuring some of the world’s cutting edge solution providers and thought leaders. In addition to their stand PV14, CEO Simon Bransfield-Garth led two round-table discussions: “Lighting Society: Pay as You Go Power for the Rural Market” and “Beyond Lighting: The Role of Micropower in Emerging Economies.”

Award-winning Indigo technology combines mobile technology and solar technology to provide pay-as-you-go solar power that replaces kerosene and phone charging services, while cutting users’ spend by as much as 50%.
