Sartomer Company named Chace Phillips the new plant manager of the company’s production site in Channelview, TX. Mr. Phillips is responsible for operations at the facility, which manufactures styrene maleic anhydride resins and polybutadiene resins. He reports to Larry Athens, vice president, manufacturing. Mr. Phillips joined Sartomer in 2000 as lead process engineer. He was promoted to senior process engineer in 2003 before being named technical manager in 2004. In that position, he was responsible for plant projects, process improvements, performance and efficiencies, as well as quality control. Mr. Phillips received a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Houston and an MBA in technology management from the University of Phoenix.
