Ricoh announced that it has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), one of the world’s most renowned indices for ESG (environmental, social, and governance), for the second consecutive year.

DJSI, compiled by the US firm S&P Dow Jones, was the first global sustainability index to assess a company’s corporate sustainability from the economic, environmental, and social development aspects. The process is considered most stringent based on the number of questions and the depth of information required.

This year, DJSI reviewed approximately 3,500 companies worldwide, selecting 322 companies to the DJSI World Index. As of November 12, 2021, Ricoh achieved the highest score out of 34 companies in the Computers & Peripherals and Office Electronics industry in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, and obtained the top score in the following 10 categories: Risk & Crisis Management, Supply Chain Management, Innovation Management, Environmental Reporting, Product Stewardship, Climate Strategy, Social Reporting, Talent Attraction & Retention, Corporate Citizenship and Social Contribution, and Living Wage.

In addition to the DJSI World Index, the DJSI Asia/Pacific Index included Ricoh for the last four consecutive years.
