Schreiner MediPharm, a leading developer and manufacturer of innovative functional labels for the healthcare industry, and HERMA, an expert in labeling machines, are partnering on an integrated RFID labeling solution.

The combination of RFID labels and precision labeling technology enables a high level of process stability and reliable results even in high-speed applications of the pharmaceutical industry.

The companies will present their vial labeling solutions at Interpack in Düsseldorf, live for the first time. The joint system will be on display at booth D72-3 in Hall 16.

The Robust RFID-Labels are suitable even for containers with narrow radii, such as vials or syringes, and enable easy application in pharmaceutical manufacturing. The RFID functionality remains assured from production to final use, and the RFID label can be reliably read at any time.

In combination with HERMA’s process-optimized labeling technology that is specifically designed for material protection, the result is a system enabling reliable RFID integration even in the case of challenging applications and high cycle rates.

Tests on HERMA’s wrap-around labeling machine 132M HC, developed for the pharmaceutical industry, show that the breakage rate of the label-integrated RFID chips practically tends toward zero, whereas clearly higher failure rates may occur with conventional standard labels.
