Pragmatic Semiconductor Ltd. announced the appointment of James Davey to lead the company’s commercial efforts as SVP of sales, business development and product management. Davey takes over from Alastair Hanlon, chief commercial officer, effective immediately.

Davey has more than 24 years semiconductor and technology sector experience. Most recently he was VP, EMEA at eInfochips, Arrow Electronics’ global design services business. In this role he was responsible for leading commercial sales of semiconductor and hardware design services, supporting a diverse range of customers across vertical end-markets.

Prior to his role at eInfochips, Davey held several global commercial leadership positions at Arrow where he successfully drove revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships. Previous experience includes leadership roles at Cadence Design Systems and Microchip Technology.

“I am delighted to welcome James to the executive management team at Pragmatic Semiconductor to lead our global commercial activities as we deliver our innovative FlexIC technology through our products, platforms and advanced manufacturing to service global customer demand,” David Moore, CEO, Pragmatic Semiconductor said. “James’ extensive industry experience, leadership skills, and solid track record of building and scaling international commercial success will be critical in driving the company’s next phase of growth.”

Hanlon will continue to support the business in an advisory role.

“I would like to personally thank Alastair for his committed leadership over the past seven years,” said Moore. “He’s made significant contributions to the company in expanding our business opportunity and building our talented commercial team. I look forward to his continued support.”
