PDC Healthcare announced the launch of the Endurasprint Thermal Printing Solution, specially developed for high-volume, retail and central fill pharmacies, as well as distribution centers, that fill thousands of prescriptions daily.

The Endurasprint thermal printer uses direct thermal technology which is more efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly than laser printing, translating to operational savings. Endurasprint provides 44% faster throughput speed than laser to improve workflow efficiency at packaging workstations.  Endurasprint provides a 27% lower cost per page than laser because it does not require toner cartridges that need continual replacement.

“Pharmacies can save about 30% annually by making the switch from laser to the Endurasprint thermal printing solution, said Cathy Russos, PDC Healthcare’s Endurasprint sales manager.” “The money spent on replacing expensive toner cartridges and the downtime it takes to maintain high-volume laser printers makes thermal printing a smarter, more efficient choice.”
