Printed and flexible electronics, wearables, sensors, the Internet of Things and much more will be the focus today at Printed Electronics USA 2016, organized by IDTechEx and running at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA. PE USA 2016 features co-located programs during its eight tracks, including sessions on 3D Printing, Energy Harvesting, Energy Storage Innovations, Graphene, Internet of Things (IoT) Applications, Sensors, and Wearables. The topic of Track 1 is Printed Electronics, beginning with a segment on Flexible Displays and Lighting. Speakers from Ynvisible, SA, CLEARink Displays, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Cambridge Display Technology and OSRAM OLED GmbH will headline that topic. Flexible Barriers, Films And Coatings will be discussed by presenters from Vitriflex, Kateeva, Nagase Chemtex and Komura-Tech Co. Ltd. Printed Electronics Manufacturing will be the topic throughout the afternoon, with speakers from GSI Technologies, NovaCentrix, Asahi Kasei Corporation, Arjowiggins. Nicomatic, Ceradrop MGI Group, JAPERA and Meyer Burger Group on hand to offer their insights. Track 2 looks at topics ranging from eTextiles to Virtual Reality. The first tpic, E-textiles: Technology, offers talks from Ohmatex ApS, Soongsil University/ALPHACLO, Forster Rohner AG, Interactive Wear AG and LOOMIA. E-textiles: Markets offers insights from VF Global Innovation Center, Myant Inc., Flex and TILT. Conductive Inks leads off with talks by Heraeus Electronics, Hitachi Chemical, Copprint, Korea Institute of Materials Science and Nanogap. Transparent Conductive Films, Graphene Inks And Other Materials will be analyzed by Agfa Gevaert NV, C3Nano, Birla Carbon and Fujikura Kasei Co. Ltd. Energy Storage and Graphene will be discussed by GNext s.a.s., AzTrong, Suragus GmbH, IIT / BeDimensional and Raymor Industries. New Batteries For Wearables, IoT, Medical and Energy Harvesting will be discussed by speakers from Murata, BrightVolt and SolidEnergy. Track 4 has topics ranging from the IoT, Sensors and Graphene. It opens witb IOT Technologies, Security And Applications, covered by SIGFOX Inc., Linear Technology, GE Digital and Bayshore Networks. Connected and Autonomous Vehicles will be the focus of talks by Panasonic Automotive Systems, Faurecia, VW Group and IDTechEx. Sensors Enabling the Internet of Things will be covered by BSAC: Berkeley Sensor & Actuator Center, Drayson Technologies Group, PARC, a Xerox company, Innovative Sensor Technology and SPEC Sensors. Graphene Advances, which closes Track 4, offerts speakers from First Graphite Limited, Graphenea and The Graphene Council. Track 5 looks at Energy Harvesting, beginning with Thermoelectric Energy Harvesting Comes To Market, with presentations led by O-Flexx Technologies GmbH, Alphabet Energy, otego, Advanced Energy Lab, Boise State University and NASA – Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Triboelectric and Other Emerging Energy Harvesting Technologies is the next session, with speakers from Stanford University, IDTechEx, IPH – Institut für Integrierte Produktion and University of Victoria on hand. New Photovoltaics Technologies and Systems is the topic for Ubiquitous Energy, Solliance, IDTechEx, Exeger Sweden AG and Raynergy Tek. Energy Harvesting: Technologies and Applications, th final session, is the focus of presenters from Star Micronics Co., Ltd., DELTA and Adamant Co., Ltd. Track 6 will cover 3D Printing. The first segment is 3D Printing With Plastics, with talks by Xerox, Shapeways, Toner Plastics and MadeSolid. 3D Printing With Metals will be analyzed by EOS, Optomec, Heraeus Holding GmbH and Fabrisonic LLC. Materials Innovations is to be discussed by speakers from ACEO, DSM Engineering Plastics, Stratasys, Covestro and Graphene 3D Lab, while Applications Innovations will be covered by RedWorks, Henkel and Centre for Technology Assisted Reconstructive Surgery. Sensors are the focus of Track 7, beginning with Sensors In Healthcare, which will be covered by presenters from Valencell, Plessey Semiconductors, Nanomedical Diagnostics, Sensoria and Sensing Tex, S.L. Printed Sensors is the topic of talks by Joanneum Research, TE Connectivity, Coatema Coating Machinery GmbH and ISORG. Advanced and Post Lithium-Ion Batteries will be analyzed by speakers from Sharp Laboratories of Europe Ltd., SiNode Systems, BroadBit Batteries, OXIS Energy Limted, Enevate, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and University of Waterloo. Track 8, Electric Vehicles, open with a session on Electric Aircraft, with talks by speakers from Alta Devices, Siemens AG, Synergy Aircraft, Bye Aerospace and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. EV Manufacturing Innovation session follows, with presented from Interactive Fully Electrical Vehicles IFEVS, Fraunhofer IPA, TankTwo and Nissan North America. New Energy Storage, Power Conditioning and Transfer offers insights from speakers from Electrovaya, Kilowatt Labs, Inc., Pangaea Ventures, Magment, Continental, while the final topic, energy Storage And Electric Vehicles, has talks from Boston-Power, Proterra and Microvast Power Solutions.
