Innovalight, Inc. announced that it signed an agreement with Motech Industries Inc. to develop high performance solar cells using silicon ink manufactured by Innovalight.

Motech is a pioneer in the manufacturing and marketing of high-quality single and multi-crystalline silicon solar cells in Taiwan. Motech, which reached a gigawatt in production capacity in the third quarter of 2010, is the largest solar cell manufacturer in Taiwan and one of the top 10 manufacturers worldwide in terms of production capacity and output.

Innovalight manufactures a proprietary nanotechnology-based silicon ink and licenses a platform process which allows an upgrade to solar cell manufacturing production lines to boost performance of solar cells and lower production costs.

“Motech is an important partner for Innovalight,” said Boris Mathiszik, vice president of worldwide sales for Innovalight. “We are very excited to work together with Motech to advance high performance solar products.”
