MillerCoors has named CROWN Beverage Packaging Mexico, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc., as its 2016 Packaging Materials Supplier of the Year. Crown’s facility in Monterrey, Mexico supplies MillerCoors with crowns and aluminum roll on closures for glass bottles.

“CROWN Mexico has been a longtime supplier to MillerCoors’ operations in the US, consistently providing us with excellent quality bottle crowns and great customer service throughout the years,” said Tod Galloway, VP, US head of regional procurement, MillerCoors. “They continuously strive to innovate with us and help grow our brands, all at a competitive cost within the industry.”

The award recognizes the exceptional levels of innovation, quality and service that Crown provided to MillerCoors during its 2016 fiscal year. Crown has worked in partnership with both the Miller and Coors brands for more than two decades, and has remained a strategic resource since the companies merged in 2008.

“It is an honor to receive this award, which is a testament to the efforts of the entire Crown family in Mexico,” said Juan Carlos Gomez, senior sales manager for CROWN Beverage Packaging Mexico.

In addition to the Monterrey plant, which manufactures can ends and crowns, Crown operates four beverage can plants and one glass bottle plant in Mexico.
