Midsummer has developed its solar cells by increasing the radius of the rounded cell from 90 to 100 millimeters.

This reduces the unutilized area of the module from 8% to 2%, thus increasing the power (W) by 6% per area without increasing production costs.

“Six percent higher power per area for the same production cost is a big improvement in our industry. In addition to an increased effect per area, we now have the opportunity to offer a visually more attractive product,” said Sven Lindström, CEO of Midsummer. “With the new R100 we clearly demonstrate that our research and development department holds the highest world-class and we are investing heavily in future research with our new laboratory in Järfälla, Sweden that will open in October.”
