MC10 Taps Sanjay Gupta as VP of Product Development

Has extensive experience in consumer electronics, wireless communications

MC10 announced that it has hired former Motorola Mobility executive, Dr. Sanjay Gupta as its vice president of product development. With extensive experience in both consumer electronics and wireless communications, Dr. Gupta will lead the development of MC10’s next-generation, wearable and stretchable electronic products and platforms.

Mr. Gupta joins MC10 following a 15-year career with Motorola Mobility – A Google Company that included roles in research, work on wireless standards and infrastructure and ultimately as vice president of product development for the company’s $500 million wireless accessories business. He has a bachelor’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and an master’s degree in electrical engineering and Ph.D. in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Gupta will be joining the MC10 team at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas from Jan. 7-10, where the company will be unveiling its next generation of stretchable, wearable electronics.
