iTi Corporation announced that board member John Spiers will be a featured speaker at the Nano Renewable Energy Summit, held June 22-23, 2009 at the University of Denver.

Recognized as a technology thought leader and visionary, Spiers is working with iTi Corporation and its newest division, iTi Solar, to enable the manufacture of highly efficient, next generation thin-film solar cells with the goal of dramatically improving the economics of today’s solar cell manufacturing.

Spiers’ technical and business accomplishments include establishing and building a successful start-up company, LeftHand Networks – acquired by Hewlett-Packard in 2008 – as well as developing market leading automation and information technology systems for electronics manufacturing. Spiers holds a number of patents and was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist in 2005 and 2006.

As part of his presentation at the Nano Renewable Energy Summit, Spiers will discuss the many advantages of inkjet and how to overcome the challenges historically posed by inkjet.

“The solar sector is poised for a breakout year. Breaking business developments in the solar and the other key renewable energy markets will be in the spotlight at this international summit,” said Griffith Kundahl, execute chairman of the Colorado Nanotechnology Alliance.
