It is a Win-Win for G’s Fresh, Amcor Flexibles at the UK Packaging Awards 2013

The beet is the most intense of vegetables requiring a sophisticated packaging solution. So when G’s Fresh looked for the right packaging to enhance and protect its delicious nutritious beetroot for M&S, it chose Amcor ReClose.

On Nov. 13, 2013, this choice turned into a win-win for both companies at the UK Packaging Awards in London. G’s Fresh M&S beetroot range sealed with Amcor ReClose won First Prize in the prestigious UK Packaging Awards Consumer Convenience category and an Highly Commended in the Flexible Plastic Pack of the Year category.

“Consumer research showed a clear need for a resealable pack so they can avoid the messy decanting of the beetroot into another pack. Security was essential with a product as notorious for staining as beetroot so we needed the seal to be strong time after time. We worked closely with the Amcor team and their Amcor ReClose film has exceeded our expectations for reseal performance. We have a pack we are proud of and it is fantastic to have it endorsed by the UK Packaging Awards,” said Graham Forber, manager director, G’s Fresh.

Amcor ReClose is an innovative film that allows film lidded trays to be open and reclosed up to 15 times, and it seals to PE, PS, PP or directly to APET trays.
