IST METZ Extends Its Facilities

IST METZ Group has extended its facilities. On the site of Fabrikstrasse in Nuertingen-Zizishausen, a new building is being constructed. Company founder Gerhard Metz turned the first spadeful of earth at the ground-breaking ceremony.

Since IST METZ GmbH moved from Wolfschlugen to Zizishausen in 1985, digger and construction machines have marched out to Nuertingen’s industrial area for the 10th time. At the beginning of this year, the extension of the building of the subsidiary eta plus electronic GmbH had just been finished. As a result, its production area has doubled. Now there will be constructed a new building in Fabrikstrasse opposite of subsidiary gerhard metz metallbau GmbH.

The building in Fabrikstrasse 8 had been purchased in 2006 from the company Kiener. Since then it was used as a warehouse for IST METZ Group. As all signals point to growth thanks to a pleasant order situation, the old building was torn down and the construction of a new larger building has begun.

After the completion of the three-story building in early 2015, S1 Optics GmbH and parts of gerhard metz metallbau GmbH will move into the building and hence enlarge their production area. The nearly 4,900 square metres will also be used by IST METZ GmbH.
