INX International to Extend its Support at IMDA

INX International Ink Co. is well known among members of the International Metal Decorators Association (IMDA) for its expertise and technical support. When the IMDA assembles later this month for their annual conference and convention, members will have a good reason to extend their visit for an important educational event hosted by INX.

In advance of the May 26-28 show at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, IL, INX will sponsor a half-day Metal Decorating Symposium just minutes away at its Research & Development Center in nearby West Chicago. The free program runs from 1-4:30 p.m. and will include a facility tour after presentations on advances in UV technology, fountain solution recycling and digital printing. An international update on systems and processes and a MD UV flatbed digital printer demonstration are also on the agenda. Cocktails and dinner at the Hilton will follow at 6:30. INX will once again assume a prominent role at this year’s conference, which begins with the IMDA Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing at the resort on May 26. Alex Folloso, INX manager of metal decorating research & development, will speak May 27 on the topic “New Technologies for Ink,” Jim Lambert, vice president and general manager for the Digital Division of INX International, will address “The Expanding Role of Digital Printing in Traditional Markets” on May 28.

INX will promote a variety of products at the conference. International customers will learn more about the company’s LE Cure conventional inks and Fusion UV inks, as well as the INXCure UV inks for Draw Re-draw 2-piece seafood cans that are punched twice into a cup before an easy open end is added. INX’s new low temperature TP LE Cure conventional ink system is the most environmentally friendly 3-piece ink ever developed by the company. It cures at 120-degrees Celsius, which can save 20 percent or more on energy costs. Four color process is now available and Opaque White will debut soon.

All IMDA visitors will hear more about INX’s new line of EVOLVE Advanced Digital Solutions, which includes the CP100 can printer and MD660 UV flatbed printer. The CP100 is designed for the short run production of cylindrical printing and its high speed technology is ideal for 2-piece cans.

The MD660 is a perfect example of a cost effective solution for metal decorators looking to transition into digital printing. It achieves high resolution over 1000 dpi using proven and reliable print head technology. Both printers use INX Digital EVOLVE brand UV inks and are supported by a team of digital integration specialists who are trained to assist and help customers with the transition to digital printing.

The company also expects to be a force in the Excellence in Quality contest. Eight INX customers took home honors last year for the Best in Class and Award of Excellence in the Aerosol, Closures, Miscellaneous and Two-Piece categories.
