INX Digital Debuts LD Series Inks at Ad and Sign Show

Responding to printers’ needs is always a worthwhile goal, but INX Digital had the absolute solution for outdoor products with low term durability at the 18th annual Shanghai International Ad & Sign Technology Equipment Exhibition. The company introduced its new TRIANGLE LD (low durability) series of high performance inks at the four-day show that took place from July 6-9 at the Shanghai International Expo Centre.

The TRIANGLE LD series of true solvent-based ink includes STX for HP Scitex XL1200, XL1500 and Grandjet printers, and VUV for printers using Spectra, Hitachi Koki, Xaar 126 and Seiko 572 with 14pl printhead technology. Both inks are designed to be outdoor durable for one year. A greater color gamut and lower cost compared to OEM inks are a few of the outstanding benefits, but the series has much more to offer according to Alex Garcia, INX digital’s business development director of the Latin American Region.

“STX and VUV are part of our flagship products and have consistently prevailed in a very competitive market,” Mr. Garcia said. “They were originally available only in a two-year durability formula, so we expect the one-year formulation will be very appealing. In the super wide digital printer segment, both products are recognized as true solvent inks that consistently display a superior color gamut and great adhesion to all types of media.”

Both STX and VUV now offer a short term outdoor durability option of one-year. Mr. Garcia believes these products address a need printers have been asking for. Combined with a lower price point, he thinks the one-year durability formulations of STX and VUV will prove to be very effective in the marketplace.

“The short term durability will provide the end user with the same benefits at a more affordable cost. This is especially inviting for printers who do work for special events such as sporting events and concerts, and political campaigns that do not require long term durability. I expect these products to be very popular in countries that place a visual emphasis on outdoor advertising,” said Mr. Garcia, who also oversees the Caribbean market.

TRIANGLE STX and VUV inks are now available in the Asia-Pacific (except in Australia and New Zealand), Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Middle East markets.
