Innovalight, Inc. announced it has partnered with Marubeni Corporation. Marubeni will exclusively sell Innovalight’s silicon ink and processes to solar cell and panel manufacturing companies throughout Japan.

Innovalight manufactures a proprietary nanotechnology-based silicon ink and licenses a proprietary platform process which allows for a simple upgrade to solar cell manufacturing production lines to boost performance of solar cells and lower production costs.

“We are delighted to be the sales channel for Innovalight’s innovative silicon ink technology in Japan,” said Koji Kuroda, general manager for Marubeni. “Solar cell manufacturers in Japan are very interested in Innovalight’s technology to help improve the economics of producing high-efficiency solar cells,” he added.

“As we are expanding our presence in Japan, we need to be closer to our customers,” said Boris Mathiszik, vice president of worldwide sales for Innovalight. “We are delighted to be partnered with Marubeni,” he added.
