Impinj, Inc. announced that the Puget Sound Business Journal has named Evan Fein 2014 CFO of the Year in the small, private company category. These awards recognize financial professionals in Washington state for exemplary performance in their roles as corporate financial stewards and require that honorees demonstrate outstanding financial acumen and exhibit superb leadership within their company and community.

Fein became Impinj’s 11th employee in October 2000, and as CFO he drives the company’s financial, administrative and corporate development activities. He is president-elect for the King County Sexual Assault Resource Center (KCSARC), where he has served as a board member for the past four years. Prior to Impinj, Fein worked at T-Mobile (formerly VoiceStream Wireless), leading the company’s financial planning and corporate development activities. He holds a B.S. in mathematics and an MBA, both from the University of Washington. In 2011, the Puget Sound Business Journal selected Fein as one of the publication’s “40 Under 40,” an honor that spotlights top business leaders under the age of 40 who excel in their industry and show dynamic leadership.

“Evan has contributed mightily to Impinj’s success,” said William T. Colleran, Ph.D., president and CEO of Impinj. “As one of Impinj’s first employees and a senior member of our management team, we’ve benefited tremendously from Evan’s expertise, vision and passion. We wouldn’t be where we are today without him.”
