idOnDemand High Assurance Identity as a Service Solution Selected for $2 Million Global Roll Out

Identive Group, Inc. announced that it has secured a contract worth approximately $2 million with a Fortune 100 global technology leader to provide cloud-based credential issuance and identity management services. Through its idOnDemand “Identity as a Service” offering, Identive will issue and manage PIV-compatible ID credentials that allow its customers’ employees to securely access corporate networks and facilities directly, remotely through the cloud and via their mobile phones.

“Our customer was looking for a turn-key, high assurance ID credentialing solution that would allow them to enhance security of their electronic and physical assets in a phased and flexible manner,” said Jason Hart, executive vice president of Identive’s Identity Management & Cloud Solutions division. “Our cloud-based idOnDemand solution provides the customer with total control over the pace and prioritization of new credential issuance. The new credentials are delivered as USB tokens or smart cards and are compatible with FIPS 201 and PIV federal standards to provide government grade security. This positions our customer to be able to implement additional security policies in the future for high assurance physical access.
Additionally, credentials for IT administrators provide enhanced safeguards for cyber security with two-factor authentication.”

Using the idOnDemand managed identity service, organizations can simply and cost effectively grant trusted access for employees, customers and partners to information and assets such as IT systems, remote access, data encryption, secure email and buildings. The idOnDemand cloud-based service bureau centralizes and automates the process of enrolling, producing and distributing high assurance ID credentials. Organizations no longer need to purchase the expensive printing, personalization and licensing infrastructure behind the credentialing process or deploy, administer, patch and backup on-site identity management systems. This dramatically reduces the time, effort and cost to deploy secure trusted identities throughout the organization.
