Identive Group, Inc. launched Hirsch Velocity 3.5 security management solution for integrated physical and logical access management at this year’s ASIS International exhibition, being held Sept. 10-13 in Philadelphia, PA. “Hirsch Velocity 3.5 is a next generation software solution designed to deliver superior security and interoperability while building on the more than 25 years of reliability and real world experience our solutions are famous for. Velocity 3.5 now enables security professionals to access real-time information across a wide range of devices and environments, enabling greater levels of safety and control of people and assets. New features include information delivery to mobile devices, simplified user interfaces and real-time access to the latest threat assessment information,” said Mark Allen, vice president of technology for identity management and cloud Ssolutions at Identive. New usability features in Velocity 3.5 include an internet/intranet-based web console that enhances accessibility, enabling information on demand through most computer browsers. New mobility options for web-enabled devices allow security administrators to monitor alarms while away from the office. Performance enhancements throughout the product provide faster access to administrative views, including animated floor plans and alarm monitoring. Built-in integration to external video has also been expanded. For customers requiring the highest level of security, Velocity 3.5 now offers new add-on options including dynamic access to the U.S. Transportation Security Administration’s No-Fly List, Active Directory user synchronization, point level emailing and more. The federal version of Velocity 3.5 enables the registration of all PIV, PIV-I and CIV identity credentials. Additionally, the system actively monitors the status of the PIV Authentication Key (PAK) and Card Authentication Key (CAK) certificates on each identity card, deactivating physical access if either certificate is suspended or revoked. Real-time/near-time SCVP digital certificate checks now can be made using Velocity Certificate Service. Hirsch Velocity 3.5 seamlessly bridges physical access and IT infrastructures in a powerful and easy-to-use security management solution that scales from single-user applications to enterprise-class environments connecting hundreds of doors and desktops for thousands of users. Utilized by IT, security, facility management and guard personnel in commercial, governmental and educational institutions worldwide, Velocity 3.5 is the single point of integration for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance and recording, photo ID badging, smart cards, biometrics, as well as interoperability with other building and business systems. Hirsch Velocity 3.5 will be commercially available through Identive’s global network of channel partners by the end of September.
