Identiv Wins Security Products 2014 Product of the Year Award for NFC Devices

Identiv announced it won the Security Products 2014 New Product of the Year Award for Near Field Communication (NFC) Devices. Identiv’s Giant NFC tag is the first in its class, measuring an unprecedented 5.1 by 7.1 inches, and delivering consistent detection over the entire surface area by any NFC-enabled device.

“As the adoption of NFC-enabled mobile devices continues, solution designers are demanding a broader range of NFC form factors,” said Jason Hart, Identiv CEO. “We are seeing an increasing demand from multiple industries to extend their Internet of Things strategy to include NFC — which in reality delivers secure remote computers that are momentarily connected to the Internet. Display designers can connect as many of Identiv’s Giant NFC tags as desired to cover a huge advertising display, panel or entire wall, making every point completely interactive. A customer can tap their device anywhere and launch customized content and functionality, or even connect to online services and analytics. The Identiv range of NFC secure tags, including the exclusive and patented tag-on-metal range, can have their identity provisioned by Identiv Trust Services (ITS) or the solutions provider.

The Security Products New Product of the Year Award honors the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. More than 100 entries were received in the sixth successful year of this contest. Winners were honored in 31 product award categories.
