At the Canadian Printing Awards Gala on November 7, 2024, HP accepted three Canadian Printing trophies and two Honorable Mentions, solidifying its position as a leader in the digital printing industry, the company announced. HP’s achievements include winning: • The Most Progressive Digital Printing Process award for the HP Indigo 120K Digital Press – The HP Indigo 120K is a high-performance digital press designed for environments requiring a high level of productivity and automation. It addresses the needs of printers with medium to high volume of short runs who wish to reduce turnaround time, and increase automation in printing while reducing plate volume, labor and handling costs. • The Most Progressive Printing Process Software award for the HP PrintOS OEE Leaderboard – HP’s Intelligent Automation and end-to-end production offerings – including PrintOS OEE – allow converters to enhance efficiencies and profitability by creating high-speed automated production lines with minimal human intervention and solving challenges such as labor shortages, waste reduction, mass customization, and on-demand production. PrintOS OEE, specifically, offers real-time data on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), to identify bottlenecks, optimize resource allocation, and enhance overall performance. • The Most Environmentally Progressive Technology Company award – The company says, “At HP, we have a responsibility for sustainable change, and our ambition is to make a positive impact on people and communities around the world. Together we bring the digital printing value proposition to high security printing, enabling single pass production of highly secure documents like ID cards, birth certificates, tax stamps and more. • Self Promotional Print Production project, for the HP Indigo 120K Digital Press Kit (Book) – The HP Indigo 120K sales kit was mostly printed in HD resolution, reaching smooth and sharp images using high LPI screens (1600 dpi print resolution), and on a variety of media and textures. 3D selective lacquer and foil were used on the book cover to lend it a premium, striking look and feel. “We are thrilled to be recognized by the Canadian Printing Awards with three trophies and two honorable mentions.
