Hanwha Q CELLS was selected by ELSE Enerji to provide its Q CELLS Q.PRO modules for one of the largest solar power plants in the fast developing Turkish PV market. The 500 kWp installation has already been built on the 17,000 square meters rooftop of Prokon AS’ steel construction and manufacturing factory at its Ankara-Kazan location. The solar power plant will produce around 40% of the company’s electricity consumption, generated by Hanwha Q CELLS’ premium quality and high yield modules. Moreover, the project is a reference for similar PV rooftop installations focussing on self-consumption in Turkey.

The Q CELLS Q.PRO modules were selected after ELSE Enerji had products from six module suppliers rigorously tested by the independent PV lab PI Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin. The institute selected the Q CELLS Q.PRO modules after they had demonstrated the best results with regard to energy yield and performance.

“We chose Hanwha Q CELLS as our partner for this project because their products offered the highest yield and reliability of all PV modules tested. The Q CELLS Q.PRO modules won us over due to their superior quality and longevity,” said Mustafa Herdem, general director of Else Enerji. The solar power plant was connected to the grid during an inauguration ceremony on June 25, 2013.
