Frank Sammeroff Ltd. from Glasgow-UK, Gentag’s manufacturing partner for its patented Smart Wireless Skin Patches, will exhibit at the Shenzhen Conference and Exhibition Center in China from April 18-21, 2009, to promote the deployment of the technology in China and Asia. Gentag will be represented by Marc Bense, its general manager for Europe.

The Smart Skin Patches are new disposable and battery-less ultra-low power wireless devices that can be combined with low-cost sensors and read directly by cell phones. In addition to sensor information, these wireless patches can be programmed to contain key data or links to medical information accessible via secure encrypted transactions.

The technology communicates with RFID- enabled cell phones, Wi-Fi PDAs, or any standard RFID reader. By combining disposable RFID sensors with Bluetooth and Gentag’s software, virtually any medical condition can be monitored using cell phones.

Specific hospital and medical application examples include:

• Patient ID and fever monitoring.
• Post orthopedics surgery monitoring.
• Painless and non-invasive glucose monitoring.
• Hypertension and cardiac monitoring.
• Prelabor monitoring.
