FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation has announced new appointments for Go Miyazaki of FUJIFILM North America Corporation (FNAC), Fujifilm’s largest subsidiary in North America. Mr. Miyazaki has been appointed corporate vice president of FUJIFILM Corporation in Tokyo. Mr. Miyazaki will also continue his role as president of FUJIFILM North America and will assume the new title of CEO here in the U.S. As president and CEO for FUJIFILM North America Corporation, he is responsible for four operating divisions: Imaging Division, Electronic Imaging Division, Graphic Systems Division, and Optical Devices Division; and one subsidiary company, FUJIFILM Canada, Inc. Mr. Miyazaki joined Fujifilm in Japan in 1981 after graduating from Waseda University, in Tokyo, holding several key positions in international sales and marketing. Initially working in international marketing in Tokyo, in 1989 he joined the sales and marketing organization in the U.K. In 1998 he returned to Tokyo as manager, responsible for co-developing projects for the worldwide Recording Media Division. In 2001, he moved to Germany and was elevated to the position of general manager, responsible for all European sales and marketing. He returned to Tokyo in 2006 as worldwide general manager, sales and marketing for the Electronic Imaging Division. In 2008, he came to the U.S. as division president, Electronic Imaging Division. Later, he was also made division president for the company’s Imaging Division. Last year, he was promoted to president and COO of FNAC. “During the past several years as my role expanded here in North America, I have had the opportunity to work with a growing number of Fujifilm associates and customers throughout the U.S. and Canada,” said Mr. Miyazaki. “I look forward to further developing these relationships in my new position, and effectively managing our company’s vision and corporate perspective on key issues, as our company continues to evolve.” Mr. Miyazaki’s appointment was among several new appointments and promotions at Fujifilm, including: • Shigeru Sano, formerly senior vice president, chief administrative officer, general counsel and secretary for FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, who was named as the new president of FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation, succeeding Kazuhito Yamamura, who held this position for the past year. • Judy Melillo, who has been promoted to vice president, general counsel and secretary for FUJIFILM Holdings America Corporation. Previously associate general counsel, Ms. Melillo succeeds Mr. Sano, who had this position for the past three and a half years.
