Toumaz Limited announced that its Frontier Silicon division has won the NMI’s 2013 product excellence award for its Venice 6.5 dual-band connected consumer audio module.

The award recognizes the Venice connected audio module’s innovative design, reducing energy consumption without compromising end-user functionality. It also highlights the module’s ability to deliver and maintain high quality sound streamed wirelessly directly from the cloud or audio devices.

NMI is the UK trade association representing the electronic systems, microelectronics and semiconductor communities. The NMI awards promote best practice within the UK’s electronic systems community and recognize innovative and novel semiconductor designs.

“This is a great endorsement of the quality and functionality of our connected audio Venice module,” said Anthony Sethill, CEO of Toumaz Group. “We are pleased that our innovative technology and ability to develop and produce such high-quality solutions is recognized by our industry.”
