Frimpeks Offers Converters a ‘One-Stop-Shop’

Frimpeks at Labelexpo Europe exhibited its “one stop shop” capabilities that encompass self-adhesive laminates, inks and varnishes/coatings suitable for a range of substrates. Frimpeks UK further promoted its recent investment in a bespoke ink mixing and distribution service.

Frimpeks supplys UV inks via the new ink center in Market Harborough to countries in northern and western Europe. The 35,000-square-foot center is home to the new North European ink mixing service which combines with the bespoke slitting operation for label stock customers. Frimpeks also offer a low migration UV ink and varnish and supply their inks for use in a variety of systems including litho, screen, letterpress, flexo and digital print.

According to the company, total global investment to date in the Frimpeks ink division is €8 million ($9.42M) and investment plans to 2020 include further spend on the ink division of approximately €2 million ($2.35M).

A new production facility at the Istanbul plant was equipped with four Buhler lines for the efficient production of process colors together with additional lines for whites and special colors. A new laboratory has harnessed the NPD capability and delivered a full UV ink product range.
