The Fraunhofer Energy Alliance will become technology partner of the Munich Network and become part of the cleantechnet, a network committed to linking players from industry and science who are acting sustainably.

By jointly organizing events, such as the annual Munich Cleantech Conference and the CleantechEves, a platform is to be established to promote synergies between players in the cleantech branch. The cooperation of Fraunhofer Energy Alliance and the Munich Network aims at stimulating the exchange of ideas and perspectives in the fields of renewable energies, energy efficiency, smart grids and energy storage.

On Oct. 22, 2013, the Munich Network will host the Munich Cleantech Conference (MCC) for the seventh time in a row. This year the Fraunhofer Energy Alliance will be present as a technology partner for the first time. The MCC is the European-wide meeting for the cleantech sector. It brings together entrepreneurs, decision makers, investors and scientists. The goal is to discuss current challenges of the business and exchange information about path-breaking innovations.

Against the background of the present discussion on the costs of the energy turnaround, this year’s motto of the MCC is “Energy Transition – Cost Under Control – Smart and Efficient.”

In the Technology Area, members of the Fraunhofer Energy Alliance will present innovative technologies from research and development.
