Flex Releases 2018 Sustainability Report

Includes 20% growth in renewable energy use, 11% water use cut and 10% CO2 emission intensity reduction.

Flex released its 2018 Sustainability Report. This report summarizes Flex’s worldwide sustainability activities, performance and results for the calendar year 2017, providing a look at how Flex employees contribute to a healthier, more sustainable world while driving responsible business practices.
 
Key achievements include:

  • 12% incident rate reduction from the previous year;
  • More than 80,000 participants in Earth Day Challenge;
  • More than 106,000 tons of CO2 emissions reduced;
  • More than 20% increase in renewable energy use;
  • 11% decrease in water withdrawn year-over-year;
  • FTSE4Good constituents for the second year in a row;
  • Gold Recognition Level obtained from EcoVadis CSR rating
Flex sustainability programs and initiatives are aligned with the UN Global Compact (UNGC) principles, thus advancing the broader development of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
