Brewer Science’s commitment to Missouri veterans was recognized today with a special presentation of the “Flag of Freedom” for the company’s dedication to the Show-Me Heroes program.

“Brewer Science is honored to receive the Flag of Freedom for our work in helping the men and women who have served our country in uniform find new career opportunities,” said Terry Brewer, president and founder of Brewer Science.

The Show-Me Heroes program is designed to connect military veterans with job opportunities when they return home from service. Announced by Governor Nixon in January 2010 and administered by the Missouri Division of Workforce Development, Show-Me Heroes is a campaign to showcase Missouri businesses that are willing and eager to hire veterans. As a participant in the Show-Me Heroes program, Brewer Science signed a pledge to increase efforts to reach out to, recruit, and interview veterans for job openings.

“Our vision is to continue our leadership as the provider of innovative technology worldwide. We are committed to success,” said Alan Gerson, executive director of human resources. “This begins with finding people with a desire to learn, create and explore. We have found an outstanding portfolio of skills and capabilities in the employees we have hired as a result of Show-Me Heroes and are pleased to welcome Missouri veterans and members of the Missouri National Guard and Reserve to our team.”
