Since February 2006, Dyesol Industries has been contracted by the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation, under the Defence Capability and Technology Demonstrator Program, to develop and demonstrate a 3rd generation solar panel for military applications.  The solar module demonstrated is flexible, foldable, lightweight and camouflaged (hence the name – Stealthcell).  The panel is superior to all other solar technologies in maintaining voltage under a very wide range of light conditions, even in the dappled light under trees.

The final milestone has been accepted by the Department of Defence. The completion of this milestone provides payment of the final $400,000 to Dyesol from this $2 Million project.

Dyesol will now commence the engineering phase to prepare the designs for manufacture/licensing.  Further support from Defence is being sought for production of renewable energy solutions incorporating the proven Dyesol design.  Dyesol has received significant interest from international companies for licensing of the unique design.
