Enfucell, the Finnish developer of the award-winning SoftBattery, a thin, flexible and eco-friendly power source, has been recently widely featured by Readers’ Digest in its local editions around the globe as an example of environmentally friendly new technology.

The article was about environmentally responsible product development. The Enfucell SoftBattery has recently been widely featured with other innovative companies, such as Nike, Philips Electronics, SAB Miller and NanoSolar. The article also included a photo of SoftBattery.

According to Ilkka Virtanen, editor-in-chief of the Reader’s Digest Finnish edition, the article featuring Enfucell and its SoftBattery technology has been published in its French, Dutch, Belgium, Swiss, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Croatian, Slovenian, Serbian, Swedish, Hong Kong, Taiwanese and Thai editions during spring 2010. These editions reach a readership totaling tens of millions of people.

In Finland alone, with a population of 5.3 million, Reader’s Digest reaches more than 600,000 readers, according to a survey published in March 2010 by The Finnish Audit Bureau of Circulations.

Earlier Enfucell’s SoftBattery technology has been recognized as The Technology Pioneer 2007 by World Economic Forum, The Red Herring 100 Europe in 2007 and The Guardian European Cleantech100 in 2008.
