CPIPC Enjoys Talk by Dr. Kai Yang of Evonik

Evonik’s Dr. Kai Yang presented at the Chicago Printing Ink Production Club Technical Meeting and dinner with co-worker Maria Heinz from Evonik and distributors from Palmer Holland.

Following his presentation, “Evonik – Sustainability for Printing Inks,” on March 19, 2024, Dr. Yang was presented with a plaque by Erik Olsen, CPIPC president.

Dr. Yang’s presentation focused on how sustainability plays a crucial role in the printing inks industry, serving as a three-fold risk mitigation concept for our planet, people, and profit.

In this presentation, members learned how the printing inks industry can integrate standardized sustainability measurements to mitigate risks and promote sustainability across the globe. The audience enjoyed and appreciated this presentation, concluding with further questions about Evonik Corporation’s potential approach to tackling sustainability challenges in the ink industry and products.
