Increased automation in goods tracking with RFID systems is utilized at several phases in today’s car manufacturing chains. RFID brings visibility and efficiency starting from the car prototype parts’management until the outbound distribution of the finished cars.

During Dec. 3-4, 2012, Confidex showcased its product offering for automotive applications at Odette 2012 conference with its partner Vilant. Confidex tags are being used at several automotive customers for identifying prototype parts and returnable transit items, for example.

For covering the main RFID use cases in the automotive industry, Confidex launched the new Car Distribution Label. This RFID label is used for identifying cars through the outbound distribution chain from the final assembly at the factory until the dealer.
