Cognis Tabs Joe Polak to Lead Sales Efforts

Joe Polak was recently named sales excellence project manager at Cognis, a global specialty chemical company. In his new role, Mr. Polak will oversee and implement new practices for Cognis’ North American sales team. He will work to understand Cognis customer needs and provide the sales staff with the training and support they need to grow sales. He will also lead the company’s sales council, which will be comprised of sales and business managers from all five of Cognis’ business units. The group will be responsible for making the company’s sales efforts consistent and effective in all industries.
    
Mr. Polak is a 17-year veteran of Cognis’ sales staff, and has worked in field sales, sales management and business management for a wide variety of Cognis business, including coatings and inks, care chemicals and oleochemicals.
