Liz Mendez of IGM Resins USA presented a talk at the Chicago Printing Ink Production Club’s April 2025 technical meeting and dinner. Following her presentation, “Photoinitiators for UV LED: Insights and Regulatory Updates,” on April 15, 2025, Mendez was presented with Chicago Printing Ink Production Club’s appreciation and plaque by John Copeland, CPIPC president. Mendez’s presentation focused on the current market trends, studies, and regulations happening in this industry. Attendees were educated on new developments, specialties, and new innovations for manufacturing. In addition, Arshad Kahn, chairman for Education/Awards, paid tribute to the impact and loss felt with the recent passing of John Sergeant, who was the CPIPC’s assistant golf chairman and was a very instrumental member for many years. He announced that the club’s scholarship will now be named in honor of him for years to come.
