Marcel Brenninkmeijer has resigned from his position on the Supervisory Board of Q-Cells SE as of Nov. 30, 2010. In the future, he will be engaged at the Good Energies Foundation in promoting global access to renewable energy sources in order to ease poverty.

Brenninkmeijer has been with the company since 2002 as the investor’s Good Energies representative and has been a member of the Supervisory Board, which he chaired from June 2009 until June 2010, since 2003.

“Marcel Brenninkmeijer is a pioneer of renewable energy. We would like to thank him for the trustful cooperation over the past nine years in which he has also provided Q-Cells with substantial personal support,” said Karlheinz Hornung, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Q-Cells SE as he thanked the departing member of the board.

“On behalf of the Executive Board and employees of Q-Cells I would like to express my special thanks to Marcel Brenninkmeijer for his major commitment to our company. He has made a significant contribution in successfully putting Q-Cells on the road to become an international provider of photovoltaic solutions on the basis of the experience in cell production,” said Nedim Cen, CEO of Q-Cells SE.

The company will announce a successor for the vacant position on the Supervisory Board in the next few weeks.
